Behind Bars V : Visual Fragments of a night of art behinf boundaries

Behind Bars V

and here it is a short but satisfying setlist (at least from my point of view)

-Nervous Gender (nothing to hide)
- Sonic Youth (Death Valley 69)
- Lydia Lunch (3x3)
- kitchen and the plastic spoons (in bars)
- Siglo XX (Lines of Hope)
- Ausgang (sold Glass Spine)

As a matter of coherence and straighforwardness I have to share this with you:for those who missed it out, it was a shame.instead of trying and find new, orginal and stimulating new places, stay in your homes and lead your day-to-day BORING life and complain about the same old same old, keep on slagging off people and club and at the same time keep on going there.- next time? I heard that before "next time I'll be there, promise"
just lies.
there will not be a nxt time. I mean there will be but you will have to ask if you will want to know.I don't want to waste time trying to drag people around USELESSLY and maybe also coming across as behaving in the exactly same way I have been condemning so far (IE I don't want to feel like I am advertising for a mainstream event, trying to gathered the most people possible) I don't want quantity but quality and sadly I was hoping in a little bit more effort from somebody which I did considered quality.I am not angry nor hold a grudge, it happens innit ?
some had valid reason I KNOW but I am directed to those who promised they would be there and WE spent good part of the night hoping to see them.
I/ WE are deeply deluded and sad.
is it so fucking difficult to break the habit????

However bad thoughts are just negative and counter-productive. We have to thanks most of all everyone that turned up and that shared the fantastic time we had. I have seen people that I didn't see for ages and met some new, really valid, ones and that made of the night a very stimulating one. New ideas, original and open minded people always make the event a unique one and well worth a come back!.
To be HonestI just can't wait for the next one!

The Temderness of Wolves - Coil [Lyrics]

Was all in vain? Or did you cry?
No need to ask, my tears have run dry
This is the end of my pity
I await to die
You now the living, me now the dead
To prove that you loved me
Mere words could not have said
Bitting into skin, into flesh, into me
Taking all you could
Oh, I'd still give you blood
Just to paint your lips
If you should wish them red
My desires your kiss completed
But only now I can see
The vicious joy when you took delight
Behind each kiss your poison bite
And when my all was given
And you had taken
Oh dog-like Judas
You did disappear
Was all in vain? Or did you cry?
No need to ask
You now the living, me now the dead

In the Windmills of your Mind

Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain
Or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning
Running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on its face
And the world is like an apple
Spinning silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Like a tunnel that you follow
To a tunnel of its own
Down a hollow to a cavern
Where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving
In a half-forgotten dream
Like the ripples from a pebble
Someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on its face
And the world is like an apple
Spinning silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that I said?
Lovers walk along a shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Was the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway
Or the fragment of a song
Half-remembered names and faces
but to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
Were you suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the colour of her hair?
Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

The Mating Of The Midnight Mare
Anasya Atkins

Rolling trill of cricket song
Sweeps across the meadow long
Back and forth in brushing play
Blow waves of gilded grass and silvered hay
Silent are the humming wings
Of all the brightly donned day things
Color bleeds and drains away
Giving up to dark display
Another world ghostly still
Descends to drop hazy upon the hill
Fodder in haystacks heaped up high
Horse hair whisps knit eye to sky
Expectant floating night clouds part
Where bat wings beat and owl eyes dart

Fairies open folded faces
They neaten gowns of gossamer laces
Moonbow mirrors sparkling lights abound
Purple blue prisms swirl on the ground
Spider spins no more today
Nodding nectars sealed away
Magic spreads like moving fog
O’er upturned leaf and mossy log
Firefly, moth wing bent just so
Caught up in tattered green tree calico
Early spring eve where folds the frill
Of crocus flower and daffodill
Whispered sighs that dreams do hark
Fast asleep is singer meadow lark
Lightning cracks open barn door wide!
Something comes through from other side!
Rolling out all legs and mane
From flowing fluffy cloud counterpane
Cloud bursting shadows part the air
Yo ho! Comes the Midnight Mare!
Make way! This is another force
Yield to the clamoring hoof beats of the horse
Steel drum strung across the moon
Bangs an eerie marching tune
Out from burnished cirrus hanging low
She comes from afar and canters slow
From whence she comes is not known
Dropped from sky come seed and bone

Reflected in satin icy pond
A shaggy mane of stormy champagne blonde
She is not made of red clay earth
From galaxies she owes her birth
Restless heart prances hot desire
White coat streaming loins on fire
Flanks perspiring, flushed and free
Made for passion’s reverie
Haystacks lay now in disarray
She has rolled hard in scattered hay
Dusted in the kissed moonlight
Her heart is set on sweet delight!
And lo! she’s kicked down her moonbeam gate!
And nickers madly for a mate!

Effortless gait she steps up proud
To chase a sudden shifting cloud
Through ragged hills and tremors spent
The Midnight Mare is heaven bent
She whinnies nervous, paws the ground
Ears erect—a sudden sound!
She’s off! rearing crashing hooves ignite
She needs no feather wings for flight
She’s heard a call and gained the scent
And leaps o’er trees and firmament
In her blood is pent up lust
She throws out turf and star laced dust
With eyes agleam and wind tossed brow
There is no stopping to her now!

She leaps o’er planetary rings
She races in Milky Way sport of kings
Away! She bucks in lofty race
There is no limit to her pace!
The moon has stretched to it’s tallest height
And suddenly a great burst of light!
Far across the silver track
Stands a stallion ringed in black
A frozen statue in galactic yard
Heavy legged and muscled hard
Coat of gleaming ribboned coal
Shades of dark to his very soul
Black as black against the sky
Smoking nostrils and pinioned eye

Matted mane and tangled tail
Yonder lurks the Midnight Male
Taught and tense he holds his stare
Directly at the Midnight Mare
A study in power and grace
Standing foursquare, intelligent of face
He’ll hold his ground, he will not budge
When she turns her back or offers nudge
He will not nip this tender meat
As his great heart skips a beat
Glaring white and crashing wild
Shy, he has grown suddenly mild
Fetlocks planted neat and straight
He knows that he has met his mate!

Cantering now has quickened her pace
She circles him in careful chase
She doesn’t pay him any heed
As swifter ‘round him she does speed
A galloping thing not quite sane
She moans and roars like a hurricane
Until all he sees is the length of her
One big lasso in a spinning blur
Mare whirling ‘round stallion holding his last
She has roped him in, she has run so fast!
Become twine of roped-up animal need
She’s spun a tight hold on gallant ebony steed!
He is tied, his movement ceased
She has captured this surly beast!

There in space comes courtship clear
Amongst quasars, shooting stars far and near
‘Round they go in heel and toe
Checkerboard horseplay exploding to and fro
The intercourse of black and white
Good and evil merging tight
Long legs kicking and teeth aflash
Silver and gold in starglow crash
Mare crying out in pain to her steed
Both of them beginning to bleed
Pleasure shaking them, writhing and grey
Love nips send their differences away
In ecstasy they are but one
Gliding and floating toward a distant red sun

Some say there are places yet
Where out in space spins this horse lariat
Equine courtship in this place
Of whirling tightening inward coils existing in space
Where Midnight Mare and her male
Run rings ‘round each other, nose to tail
And in this spot some call a black hole
Hides a wobbly secretive soul
Just a mere dappled fluff of a thing
Outlined by a black glowing ring
A pearl hooved awkward mottled foal
Undercoat smoking in celestial coal
Still wet, wobbly legged ready to bolt
Fleecy and speckled comes a new Midnight Colt!

Salvia Divinorum - random informations

Smoking Salvia Divinorum Warning
When smoked (in the ways described below), the effects of Salvia are overpowering and overwelming. Always test your sensisivity and start with a LOW dose.Normal Salvia Leaves: 1/2 - 1 gramHigh grade Salvia Divinorum Leaves: 1/4 - 1/2 gramSalvia Extract 5x: 0.1 - 0.3 gram
Smoking Salvia Summary information
The most common method is to smoke Salvia in a pipe, without tobacco. The smoke is inhaled fast and deeply. Hold the smoke deeply in the lungs for 20-30 seconds before exhaling, then salvinorin A and B can be absorbed from the smoke. If one exhales too quickly, much of the material will be wasted. The level of the effects you achieve depends on the amount of smoke inhaled and absorbed within about a 2 minute period. If you pause too long between hits, the duration will be extended, but the intensity of effects won't increase. When Salvia leaves are chewed and held in ones mouth a long time, salvinorin is absorbed directly by the tissues lining the mouth. The way you feel and think before the experience is essential for the character of the experience. So, if you don't feel comfortable and well, postpone the use of Real Salvia. We strongly advise you to take the trip in a peaceful and relaxed environment. Lie down for the duration of the trip. Privacy and safety are very important. Take Real Salvia in the presence of a 'sitter', because the effect can be very overwhelming. Real Salvia is not suited for parties. This is something to take time for. Make sure there are no troubles on your mind. De Sjamaan wishes you an excellent flight.
General effects & course of the experienceWhen smoked, the first effects are noticed within 1 minute, rapidly developing to a peak which lasts 5-15 minutes. Depending on dosage, the effects can vary from a subtle to a full-blown psychedelic experience. At higher dose users report dramatic time distortion, vivid imagery, encounters with beings, travel to other places, planets or times, experiencing to be an object or experiencing the full life of another individual. Then the effects will gradually diminishing over the next 20 - 40 minutes, one will notice a marihuana-like high. From beginning to end, the entire experience lasts 30-60 minutes. When Salvia leaves are used orally, the first effects begin in 10 -20 minutes. The effects, milder than when smoked, build to a peak fairly quickly, reaching a plateau which can last from 30-90 minutes. The entire experience can last anywhere from 1-3 hours.
Using salvia divinorum: traditional mazatec methods
The two traditional Mazatec methods are quite inefficient in that they require many more leaves than do the other methods. But they are very safe. Traditionally the leaves are taken in a semi-darkened room as part of a healing or religious ceremony. At least one sober person is present to watch over the people who have taken Salvia. A water-based drink made from ground up fresh leaves is one of the traditional Mazatec ways of using this herb. It requires a lot of leaves and tastes unpleasant, so this method is seldom used by non-Mazatecs. Salvinorin is very poorly absorbed from the stomach so it requires enormous amounts of leaves to make the drink effective. But it does work, and trips from the drink last longer than from any other method. Chewing and swallowing a large number of fresh leaves is the other Mazatec method. When this is done, the leaves are nibbled slowly for about 1/2 hour. Although the chewed up leaves are swallowed, most of the effect is due to salvinorin that is absorbed through the tissues of the mouth during the chewing. This is a less efficient way of chewing Salvia than the quid method (see below). Most people find chewing fresh leaves to be unpleasantly bitter, and for some, it is nauseating.
Using Salvia Divinorum: smoking
Dried leaves can be smoked in a pipe. They need to be smoked hot and the smoke must be inhaled deeply and quickly to have an effect. Because salvinorin requires high temperatures to vaporize, it is best to hold a flame immediately above the leaves, drawing it down into the leaves the whole time you inhale. The leaves can be smoked in a short stemmed tobacco pipe, in a bong, or in a "steamroller" pipe. Fill up a medium size bowl with leaves. Use a hand held butane lighter that will go out when you are no longer pressing it, not a match. Have a large ashtray or tip proof bowl to set the pipe in when you feel you've had enough. Remember that, when tripping, you may forget you are holding a lit pipe. You could drop it, causing a a burn or a fire; therefore, it is best to have a sitter present when smoking. First effects will be noticed within a minute of inhaling. After 5-6 minutes the effects will gradually begin to subside. The total duration of the trip may be less than 30 minutes or as long as an hour. Extract-enhanced leaves can also be smoked. Extract-enhanced leaves can be very strong and should only be smoked when a sitter is present. It is possible to vaporize leaves or extract in a special vaporizer that heats up material without burning it. Vaporization can be deceiving. Because very little smoke is produced, it is possible to inhale a very large dose without realizing it. Anyone trying vaporization absolutely MUST have a sitter present. Many commercial vaporizers made for Cannabis will not work for Salvia. Special Salvia vaporizers can be built easily, but vaporization is not for those new to Salvia. Vaporization of pure Salvinorin is also possible. This is extremely dangerous, as it's very easy to vaporize too large a dose. To be done safely, vaporization of salvinorin requires weighing the dose on a very precise chemical balance capable of weighing salvinorin in micrograms (millionths of a gram). These analytical balances cost well over $1000. Vaporizing salvinorin is definitely not for beginners!
Using salvia divinorum: tips on smoking
Many people find it difficult to achieve a satisfactory level of effects from the leaf in its natural state. People vary in their sensitivity to salvinorin-A. Some people are highly sensitive and have no difficulty achieving a profound level of effects; others are extremely insensitive and require a dose 2 - 3 times higher than average. TIPS!
Use a water-cooled smoking device (a water pipe, or bong). This makes it much easier to inhale large quantities of smoke. Because the smoke is cooled, it can be inhaled more comfortably without coughing.
Try to inhale the full dose in three lungfulls. Each one should be inhaled slowly and deeply, then held for 20 - 30 seconds before exhaling. It is very important to retain each inhalation of smoke deeply in the lungs long enough for it to be absorbed efficiently. Do not pause between lung fulls (except for a short breath of fresh air if necessary). This insures that the whole dose will be consumed within the 2 - 3 minute period required. If the dose is smoked too slowly, it will be metabolized faster than it is ingested.
Using salvia divinorum: the quid method
A ball or cylinder of rolled up leaves is made. This is called a quid. It is to be chewed. The leaves are chewed slowly, about one chew every 10 seconds. They are kept under your tongue between chews. For half an hour keep the quid that is being chewed, and the juice that forms, in your mouth. If you can, hold it in your mouth without spitting or swallowing. Then, after the half hour chewing time is over, spit it all out. Have a bowl to spit into, and a towel handy. Salvia juice stains carpets and other fabrics, so be sure the bowl won't tip over. While quids can be made from either fresh leaves or dried leaves, those made from dry leaves are less bitter. To make a quid from dried leaves, weigh out 2-8 grams of dried leaves. Gram scales accurate enough for this can be purchased for under $50. If you have no scale, count out 8 to 26 large whole dried leaves. Place the leaves in a small bowl of cool water for 10 minutes. Once the leaves are wet and have been soaking for about 10 minutes, remove the leaves from the water, squeeze the excess water out of them, and ball them up into a quid. Some people skip this soaking step when they are in a hurry, but chewing on brittle dry leaves may be unpleasant. If you wish, you can sweeten the quid with sugar, honey, Stevia extract or an artificial sweetener like Equal®. This will make it less bitter and more pleasant to chew. If fresh leaves are used instead of dry ones, you will need from 8 to 28 large fresh leaves. The effect of Salvia quids can be increased by first treating your mouth in a special way to increase its ability to absorb salvinorin. To do this you will need a toothbrush and an alcohol/menthol containing mouthwash such as Cool Mint Listerine®, (or any other brand that contains alcohol and menthol). Gently brush the lining of your mouth, including the tissue under your tongue, and the top surface of your tongue. This removes layers of dead cells normally present. Do not brush hard enough to cause bleeding. Then rinse with the mouthwash for at least 30 seconds. Be sure to get mouthwash everywhere in your mouth, including under your tongue. Then spit out the mouthwash and rinse once with water. You will experience very little in the first 12 to 15 minutes of chewing. Don't be misled by this. Full effects are usually felt by 30 minutes (the time you spit out the quid). They remain on this level for about 20 minutes more, then start to decrease. The whole trip seldom lasts much longer than an hour and a quarter, but this varies.
Using salvia divinorum: which method is best?
There are pros and cons to each method. Some people report that a quid gives a stronger, deeper, more visionary trip than smoking. Others report that chewing doesn't work for them at all, but smoking does. For those who get little effect from either method, the two methods can be combined. First chew a quid, and then, after spitting it out, light up. If you already smoke tobacco or Cannabis you will probably be comfortable with smoking Salvia. If you are a non-smoker you will probably prefer the quid method. Bear in mind that smoking anything, even Salvia, can't be good for your lungs. Unlike smoke, a quid does not irritate your lungs. It requires quite a bit more dried leaf for a quid trip than for a smoke trip. If you have very little leaf material available, smoking is the way to get a trip out of the little you have. Quid trips come on slowly but last longer. They are better for exploring Salvia's world. They are better for deep meditation. Until you know how sensitive to Salvia you are, do not experiment with extracts, vaporizers, or salvinorin. Chewing quid, or smoking leaves, will take many people all the way to level 5. There is no need for these people to experiment with stronger and more dangerous ways of taking Salvia. There are some people-albeit a minority-who, even after many experiments, find they remain "Salvia-hardheads." They never experience more than a slight Salvia effect from smoking, or from a quid. Some of these hardheads will get satisfactory results if they chew a quid, and then immediately smoke after spitting out the quid. Others will find even this ineffective. For them, extract-enhanced leaves are necessary to produce effects. See how sensitive you are before experimenting with stronger forms of Salvia. With a little practice, quid chewing, or smoking, or combining the two ("boosting"), works quite well for most people. Many people find it takes several meetings with Salvia before a "breakthrough" experience occurs. So don't label yourself a "Salvia-hardhead" too soon.

Heart Attack and vine - Tom Waits [ version on here is sang by Lydia Lunch]

liar liar with your pants on fire, white spades hangin' on the telephone
wire, gamblers reevaluate along the dotted line, you'll never recognize
yourself on heartattack and vine.

doctor lawyer beggar man thief, philly joe remarkable looks on in disbelief,
if you want a taste of madness, you'll have to wait in line, you'll probably
see someone you know on heartattack and vine.

boney's high on china white, shorty found a punk, don't you know there ain't
no devil, there's just god when he's drunk, well this stuff will probably kill
you, let's do another line, what you say you meet me down on heartattack and

see that little jersey girl in the see-through top, with the peddle pushers
sucking on a soda pop, well i bet she's still a virgin but it's only twenty-
five 'til nine, you can see a million of 'em on heartattack and vine.

better off in iowa against your scrambled eggs, than crawling down cahuenga
on a broken pair of legs, you'll find your ignorance is blissful every goddamn
time, your're waitin' for the rtd on heartattack and vine.
I have been posting old and new poetry/verbal rants on DeviantArt

plenty of new words, maybe some liked ;)

'till then

In High Heels - Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio

I cleanse my skin in flames of hell
From blood and shame and lepers’ smell
Flowers unnamed and forsaken by reason
Are growing like weeds in the garden of treason
As man is my victim it’s he who I torture
Engaged in perversions with Judas’s daughter
I salvage my soul in the essence of violence
My gospel is wisdom but censured and silenced
We dance in nights of broken glass
Where stars collide and dreams collapse
We dance in nights of broken glass

The past we disowned will awaken again
Our conscience of bloodshed bears witness to shame

The world we pursue is forsaken by man
The earth is my kingdom it is where I dance
I salvage myself in perversions and wine
Consumed and depraved by the bondage of time
In lust I redeem all my yearnings and needs
Let’s murder in nightmares of pleasures besieged

We dance in nights of broken glass
Where stars collide and dreams collapse
We dance in nights of broken glass

Defiance of worship on thorns I decay
The twilight of conscience my salvage portrayed
The penance of forfeit your verdict received
In judgement we dream of confessions deceived
The killing of mankind won’t ever desistI’m God, I am Satan, I’m all that there is
The sun is my kingdom it is where I dwell
In high heels we wander through heaven and hell

We dance in nights of broken glass
Where stars collide and dreams collapse
We dance in nights of broken glass

Shouldn't have to be like that

It's always like this,

people i know read many books

and save every dream,

with all of their hope buried inside,

And somewhere a man cries for his love a love that is lost,

that withered too soon with all of his hope buried inside,

Shouldn't have to be like that (x4)

So all you can say is we need more time to get through the things that need to be said,

with all our trust buried inside,

And even if it takes a lifetime of trust to build something strong,

what happens to us with all our faith buried inside,

Shoudln't have to do like that (x4)

Shouldn't have to do like that (till fade)

Like coffee beans

From there through here

Through the peephole

Hidden in my closet

Watching from the windows

Owl’s eyes

Owl’s insight

Waving the sharp tongue,

like a dagger,

At the Divine.

The Politics of Dancing

We got the message

I heard it on the airwaves

The politicians

Are now dj's

The broadcast was spreading

Station to station

Like an infection

Across the nation

Though you know you can't stop it

When they start to play

You're gonna get out the way

The politics of dancing

The politics of ooh feeling good

The politics of moving, aha

If this message's understood

The politics of dancing

The politics of ooh feeling good

The politics of moving, aha

If this message's understood

We're under pressure

Yes we're counting on you

Like what you say

Is what you do

It's in the papers

It's on your tv news

Oh, the application

Is just a point of view

Well you know you can't stop it

When they start to play

You're gonna get out the way

The politics of dancing

The politics of ooh feeling good

The politics of moving, aha

If this message's understood

The politics of dancing

The politics of ooh feeling good

The politics of moving, aha

If this message's understood

The politics of dancing

The politics of ooh feeling good

The politics of moving, aha

If this message's understood

a bit out of season...

World without a breeze

Heartbeat of the heat above the harbour

Lazy day lies dazed upon the shelf

Atomic lizards lick at the blaze of the

light that is forever

No move in the solid skies

No gleaming metal out of the

breathtaking blue

My golden circus girls all sailed away

The lion tamers are no longer due to play

Whoever breaks the seven seals and lets

the angry angels free

I do not know

Just waiting here

For summer rain

For summer rain

Or anything else

Prophet hold your head up

Into a cluster of bees and listen

"Love of my life

Here is all our honey

Yes, we can change the world, together"

And if we're still invited to walk

in this party

I'd go for a saucerful of secrets or more

But last thing I heard of was that GOD had

left the lines

For a brandnew universe

He was supposed to say

My golden circus girls all sailed away

The lion tamers are no longer due to play

Whoever breaks the seven seals and lets

the angry angels free

I do not care just waiting over there

For summer rain

For summer rain

What a glorious feeling

I'm happy again

Cool Rain

Even more Devious

A letter to make ourselves be heard.

This thing that has happened its simply horrible, poor Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend.

He will have to live with the memory of what happened, why it had happened and most of all that those murderers are aout and about despite what they did.

They will have probably went back to their friends, after having freed on bail, even more convinced that if they do it again they will get away with it.

I showed it at work to some of my colleagues and they were gutted, they couldn't belive that something like this happens.

I tried to explain that it not only in small cities that it still happens it is also frequent in London.

Every time we go out we get called with names and quite often we risk to be beaten up if we are not careful.

There is a letter/email to send to the parliament regarding hate crimes, they should include any kind of assault based not only on race/sex but also based on the clear look.

it might not be a religion that tells us to shave our head and have the mohawk or dress in black but its a choice of life and THAT is not a proff that we are dodgy people, negative or inferior to anyone.

Set aside that many there is a lot more sensibility amongst us than amongst MANY of the "normal" people out there.

here is the letter please copy and paste in onto your email and send it to the person whose name and email is typed below.

If can't change the law at least lets make our voice be heard, we are a minority community too and we have our rights too!

PLEASE cut and paste the template letter below, and sign with your real name, email address, and telephone number to make the UK legally take action.

It does not matter which country you live in. This is the local MP for where the incident happened.

email this to: andersonj@parliament.uk

Dear Janet Anderson (MP Rossendale & Darwen Constituency),

I'm sure you've been made aware of a recent tragic incident in your constituency, and I'm sure I won't be that last person to contact you in regards to this awful crime.I'm referring to the untimely death of Sophie Lancaster following the brutal attack that she and her boyfriend Rob were victims of on 11th August. Some details as reported in the press:"Sophie Lancaster, 20 and her boyfriend were set upon while walking through Stubbylee Park in Bacup. They were both beaten up in a vicious assault. Miss Lancaster was left in a coma with serious head and facial injuries and died. Her boyfriend Robert Maltby, 21, was also left in a coma with bleeding on the brain but has recovered.
He had been briefly let out of hospital on Wednesday to visit Miss Lancaster. The pair, both from Bacup, have been described as "Goths" who usually dress in black and wear heavy face make-up. It is understood the couple had been targeted in the past because of the way they dressed and looked.Five male youths have been already been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Police said those charges would now be the subject of a review by detectives and the Crown Prosecution Service. A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old have been remanded in custody, while two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old were released on bail. They were all due to appear before Burnley Youth Court on September 27,2007."I am sure that you are also horrified by this news and I wonder where there is anything that can be done in UK law to make this recognised as a hate crime?I would like to see language added to the existing Hate Crime Prevention as it is written in The Public Order Act 1986 in England and Wales.Hate crimes (also known as bias motivated crimes) occur when a perpetrator targets a victim because of his or her membership in a certain social group, usually defined by race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, nationality, age, gender, gender identity, or political affiliation. as it is written in Language in England and Wales--I would like to see a statement that also states belonging to a particular subculture relating to genres of music as one of the social groups - be that Goth, Punk, Rap, Pop, Country, Folk or whatever.
I'm not a lawyer and my language may not be the best to describe this, but I think you should be able to see where I'm coming from.I would be most grateful if you could look into this matter further.I look forward to receiving your reply.

I post this and THEN I will make few comments on it...

A 20-year-old woman believed to have been attacked by a gang of youths because she dressed as a Goth has died from her injuries.Sophie Lancaster was walking through Stubbylee Park in Bacup, Lancashire with her boyfriend in the early hours of August 11 when they were assaulted by five teens.Miss Lancaster was left in a coma with serious head and facial injuries. Her boyfriend Robert Maltby, 21, was also left in a coma but has since recovered.A spokesman for Lancashire Police said Miss Lancaster died in hospital from her injuries at 10.15am today. The couple, both from Bacup, have been described as "Goths" and it is understood they had been targeted in the past because of the way they dressed and looked.Five male youths have been already been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.Police said those charges would now be the subject of a review by detectives and the Crown Prosecution Service.Detective Inspector Dean Holden, who is leading the investigation, said: "It is tragic that this young woman has now died. Our thoughts are obviously with her family."The couple were taken to Rochdale Infirmary before Miss Lancaster was transferred to Fairfield Hospital, Bury, and then Hope Hospital's neurology unit in Salford.A 15-year-old and a 17-year-old have been remanded in custody, while two 15-year-olds and 17-year-old were released on bail. They were all due to appear before Burnley Youth Court on September 27.Mr Maltby, a former Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School pupil, had been going out with Miss Lancaster for around three years. He is studying art in Manchester, while she is understood to have been on a gap year. Both were left with heavily swollen faces and bleeding from their ears and noses following the brutal assault which happened in the skate park area between 1.10am and 1.20am.Miss Lancaster was said to have had a piece of flesh missing from her head where her attackers had pulled out her hair.Police urged anyone with information about the attack to contact Rawtenstall CID or Crimestoppers anonymously.Acting assistant chief constable of Lancashire Police, Jerry Graham, said: "This is a tragic incident which has resulted in the senseless loss of a young and vibrant woman. Lancashire Constabulary sends its sincerest condolences to Sophie's family and friends at this difficult time."There are, of course, young people in Lancashire and, as we have seen in recent times, all over the country who are intent on disrupting the lives of law-abiding citizens. In the very worst cases, such as this one, their actions have devastating consequences."Lancashire Constabulary will not tolerate this kind of behaviour, irrespective of the age of the perpetrators, and will take a forceful approach towards tackling it, using all the powers that we have available to the full."He added that care must be taken though not to "demonise" all young people and that there were people of all ages determined to cause trouble."There is a significant proportion of young people who do not engage in this kind of behaviour and are victims themselves," he said."Here in Lancashire, we think it is important not to negatively stereotype all of our young people when this kind of incident occurs."

Let's get the names of the chav scum who did this, the press are largely ignoring this story and you just KNOW the scum involved are most likely going to get out after a few years on good behaviour on either a pathetic GBH or involuntary manslaughter charge for this sickening hate-crime murder. What the fuck are THREE of them doing out on bail and WHY is a clear cut case of murder being "reviewed" on the charges being brought forward? The Polices general attitude to such attacks is "If you look like THAT then you're really bringing it upon yourself"

Some Velvet Morning

Some velvet mornin' when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
And how she gave me life
And how she made it end
Some velvet mornin' when I'm straight
Flowers growing on a hill, dragonflies and daffodils
Learn from us very much, look at us but do not touch
Phaedra is my name
Some velvet mornin' when I'm straight
I'm gonna open up your gate
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra
And how she gave me life
And how she made it end
Some velvet mornin' when I'm straight
Flowers are the things we know, secrets are the things we grow
Learn from us very much, look at us but do not touch
Phaedra is my name Some velvet mornin' when I'm straight
Flowers growing on a hill I'm gonna open up your gate dragonflies and daffodils
And maybe tell you 'bout Phaedra Learn from us very much
And how she gave me life look at us but do not touch FADE
And how she made it end

Alexandre CABANEL Phaedra [Phèdre]

In Greek mythology, Phaedra was a legendary character. Details of her tragic story even helped to inspire a play - Hippolytus, which was composed by the great Greek poet and dramatist Euripides. And indeed, it is from this play that we get a sense of the role Phaedra played in myth and legend.
Phaedra was the daughter of King Minos of Crete and his wife Pasiphae. She was therefore the sister of Ariadne. It is interesting to note that both Phaedra and Ariadne were involved with the same man - the hero Theseus. For, some time after Theseus abandoned Ariadne, he married Ariadne's younger sister. Unfortunately, neither of the sisters had a successful relationship with Theseus.
Phaedra had the misfortune of falling in love with Hippolytus, the handsome but chaste son of Theseus and the Amazon Hippolyta. Even though Phaedra was Hippolytus's mother-in-law, this did not prevent her from desiring the young man. In the play Hippolytus, the goddess Aphrodite claims responsibility for making Phaedra the victim of lust. Aphrodite speaks in the prologue:
"Phaedra saw him [Hippolytus]and her heart was filled with the longings of love. This was my work."
As much as Phaedra desires the young man, Hippolytus wants nothing to do with his mother-in-law. Naturally, this doomed relationship is the stuff of tragedy. In the play, Phaedra commits suicide, shamed by her inappropriate - and unreciprocated - passion. However, she leaves a note that blames Hippolytus on the grounds of attempted seduction. When Theseus returns from one of his many journeys, he finds his wife dead, and his son apparently is the cause of her demise. In the end, Hippolytus too is killed.

And the day is getting closer. . .

I had shivers up my spine and tears in my eyes this morning, on the bus thinking about it...

plus I went to do some grocery shopping last night and in 2 different shops I scored a £13.13 which made me smile and then in the shop after that I scored £7.77 bill.

Alphaville - She Fades Away

She's like a frostfern in my head
The lamplight burns my eyes and then
she fades away
My pencil's frozen in my hand
And the letter I can't write
It seems to be a desert without end
I woke up late at night
She called me up
Then disappeared
And the echo of her voice filled the
empty places in my dreams
With the silent tide
She fades awayAgain
She fades away
She fades away again
Don't go nowPlease, stay
My senses are cruising through a void
As pale reflections play on the
deserted roads
I hear the humming of machines
A distant sound like thunder crawling
through the voidThere's no escape
I knowI run around in circles without end
And the more the memory grows
Dissolving from realityWith the silent tide
She fades away
She fades away
She fades away again
Don't go nowPlease, stay
Don't make me cry
This time I've got to learnI know, she won't return
